The Méliès d'or award, given by the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF) for Best European Fantastic Film went to Handling the Undead (directed by Thea Hvistendahl) in the feature film category and Weeds (directed by Pola Kazak) in the short film category.
Director Christophe Gans received the Méliès Career Award for his iconic contribution to genre cinema.
The award ceremony took place at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.
