Life is tough for timid flower salesman Pera. He lives with his strict mother who punishes him if he doesn’t bring home enough money. So Pera starts strangling women who rudely decline to buy flowers. Soon, the whole city is in fear of the strangler, which inspires a young rock musician.
In his fourth feature, Slobodan Šijan once again delivers specific dark humour, this time enhanced with elements of horror. The story is set in urban environment, accompanied by rock’n’roll. Music for the film was written by Srdjan Šaper from the new wave band Idoli. Initially, the film wasn’t very successful, but over the years it achieved cult status. At this year’s festival, we will screen the new, restored version.
