Public wine tasting of all the samples in competition under the guidance of this year's main guest of the wine program will be a special experience. As a top expert, Monika Neral will take care of an excellent presentation of wines, while the winemakers sent their best wines to compete for the Vicous Cat Wine Champion title. She will be accompanied by Slovenian Wine Queen 2024 Sanja Ferjančič.
Monika Neral is a linguist and sommelier. She has lived in many countries around the world. Today, wine is her primary interest and business. After working in luxury hotels in Croatia and abroad, she is now the owner of Vinner, a company for sommelier services and education, where she combines her greatest passions – languages and wine. She is a WSET Level 3 sommelier, the only woman in Croatia and Italy with the international ASI Gold Diploma, while she also won the third place in the Croatian Sommelier Championship, three times in a row.
Sanja Ferjančič from Planina pri Ajdovščini reigns on the Slovenian wine throne in 2024. This year's ambassador of Slovenian winemaking, outstanding Slovenian wines and Slovenia as an attractive tourist destination is finishing her Master's Degree in physical therapy. She has also passed the Level One sommelier course. At her family's estate, she helps out in the vineyard and conducts wine tastings for tourist groups.
